175th Birthday Celebrations

Tuesday 24th June 2014 was the 175th Birthday of our school.  We had a fantastic day of celebrations starting off with a whole school photograph, followed by a service in the church led by Rev Eve Pegler with Bishop Graham of Sherborne as our special guest.  The service was followed by Bishop Graham blessing the new Oak tree in the school playing field and the unveiling of a plaque on the tree.

The school hall had photographs and memorabilia showing the school and past pupils over the years.  Old pupils, previous school Headteachers and staff and villagers were able to take a look around the hall.

At 3pm a whole school assembly was held for pupils, parents and local people.

The weather was great and everyone had a wonderful day.
